Reflection Journal 2

So far this has been my favourite session in the production lab because the briefing we had was really funny but at the same time very enriching. Yet again production lab had me questioning on what "Beauty" was and how it relates to our potential future careers.When it came to the mission, I was wondering how the pieces that inspired us or has had an impact in our lives which we found "beautiful" were suppose to help us do the project. So when it came to sharing it with my group, I was rather skeptical. But then i realised that the things we were sharing with one another all had a common theme to them, which was that all 3 of us were scared to take the risk of pursuing a music-related career but these pieces inspired us to pursue them. When we realised this, we felt really happy because its something that all of us could relate to and we used that relatable experience to write a song that expressed how we feel about the paths we've chosen. Reflection Journal 1

The mission 1 production lab was actually a pretty interesting session. It kind of opened my eyes to certain aspects and positions in the music industry, especially on what we can expect. The advises given to us were also pretty useful to be used in the future. Especially about the "audience" part, it was rather fruitful. When it came to making music in the next 2 hours, I came to enjoy working with my classmates to create a song. Although it was pressurizing because of the time constraint, it became much more easier since each of us contributed to the piece. I thought my classmates were really really talented and that everyone really shined in their own areas which I find quite amusing. Also, the pressure is also something that can be used to create a piece. Anyways, I really enjoyed hearing the musical pieces made by other groups, especially Russell's group song "Waffles".
